Quick ideas for your wedding day to do list

A few quick ideas for what you may need on the day that you might not have thought of yet coming from a wedding photographer who has seen it all!


  • Wooden hangers

  • Bag of details for morning flat lays

  • Remember to bring the rings if you would like them in a flat lay

  • A clean and tidy room for morning prep photos

  • A crotchet hook

  • Confetti (white circles or petals are the best)

  • Sparklers, long lighters and a sand bucket

  • Prosecco for a glass tower or spray

  • Allow time for getting ready photos if required 

  • Assign someone to assist me during the group photos

  • Ask your registrar or priest where I am allowed to stand during the ceremony

  • Ask a bridesmaid to arrange your dress when you get to the end of the aisle 

  • Ask a wedding party member to join us during the couple’s session

  • Comfortable spare shoes if we are hiking for couple’s photos

  • Bring a coat for winter weddings

  • Bubbles to keep children entertained 

  • Garden games for fun candids

  • Spare hair pins

  • Sewing kit

  • Plan a first look for parents, wedding party or your partner 

  • Pack an emergency kit for you or your guests in the loos: chalk for stains, hairspray, face powder, lip stick, deodorant, tissues, sanitary products, pain relief, stain remover, safety pins, plasters, mints, scissors and suncream.
