As every story is different there is no such thing as a rule book here. I have put together a list of FAQs to help learn a little more about my approach. Your wedding is unique and I am here to support that.

FAQS

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?

I shot my first wedding in 2015. Alongside weddings, I work as a self- employed food photographer.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE THE PHOTOS?

Anywhere from 2-12 weeks. Should this change you will be notified. I keep everyone up to date on my Instagram stories with my edit order. Then you will receive an email with a date and time of the release.

ARE YOU FULLY INSURED?

Yes I am fully insured worldwide, as a professional photographer with public liability and professional indemnity.

DO YOU SELL ALBUMS?

Yes, absolutely and I encourage you to print your moments to bring them into the real world once again. There is something magical about coming across your photos on a day you have not planned, or getting them out to show friends over a cuppa. Within the wedding brochure there is a page of extras such as prints, polaroids and albums. We understand some images may have a sensitive or private nature, which is why we can offer a  female-only or NDA print service upon request.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

Your wedding will still happen and it will be amazing. I will adapt quickly to weather changes and have a back up plan ready. If you are happy to embrace the weather I bring brollies! The best kind of weather for photography is clouds. For sunny days, I will take you both into the shade (if possible) for posed images and group shots as that is the nicest type of soft light.

DO YOU REQUIRE A MEAL?

Yes please! If I am booked for over 6 hours I require a meal. A vegetarian meal is preferred, but I do also eat chicken and pork.

WHO WILL SEE MY ALBUM IN FULL?

I take GDPR and the protection of under 18s very seriously, which is why I will only ever give the couple the password and link to the album. You can then pass on the link to your friends and family. If a supplier would like a few photos to promote their business on social media, ask them to contact me direct and I will send them over a handful of images that does not contain any images of under 18s. In the past I have had emails from people impersonating the couples family members to get the link, which is why it is important to me that the images do not end up in the wrong hands.

DO YOU EDIT YOUR OWN PHOTOS?

Definitely! Every image that you receive has been individually edited by me.

DO YOU HAVE BACK UP EQUIPMENT?

Yes, I work on two cameras on the day. I carry spare batteries, SD cards and work with 4 lenses. My main camera is recording simultaneously to two recording slots to ensure safety.

HOW LONG DO YOU SPEND PHOTOGRAPHING COUPLES PORTRAITS?

This is ultimately up to what you are both comfortable with. This will be discussed with each couple to suit their personal needs. I would recommend 15-25 minutes after the group photos. Then 5-10 minutes if there is a lovely sunset at golden hour we can jump outside for. An evening outfit change is a great excuse for some more photos!

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED FOR POSED PHOTOS IN THE  MORNING?

I would always recommend leaving plenty of time to do a first look with your family/friends, or posed bridal/groom portraits. I would always recommend being ready 45 minutes to an hour before you need to leave for the ceremony so we have time for these. I need to leave half an hour before you do to get guest candids and ensure I have parking. Make sure to have drinks ready for the spare time after I go, to keep the party going!

WILL YOU HELP DIRECT THE POSED PHOTOS?

Yes, I will guide you through a few poses to ensure we capture beautiful portraits while keeping the process relaxed. I love incorporating movement, which also helps any videographers or content creators. If you would like me to follow a specific style please do send over 10 inspiration images and I will save them as my phone screen on the day.

WHAT IF YOU HAVE NOT WORKED AT THE VENUE BEFORE?

I always plan to arrive at the venue 45 minutes early to my start time. During this, I will take photos of the surrounding area and talk to the venue managers. I will also plan with online research prior to the day.

HOW LONG WILL GROUP PHOTOS TAKE?

If you stick to the recommendation of 8 groups it should take around 20 mins.

WHAT PROPS DO YOU BRING?

Extras on the day that I carry consists of 2 sun umbrellas, 5 clear rain umbrellas, a cream ring box and fabric for flat lays.
